ABOUT US

About UsA shared passion for Scandinavian designWe are Jacob Søby and Frederik Angel, two collectors from Denmark brought together by a shared passion for Danish and Scandinavian design.

Over many years, we have built an extensive collection, guided by curiosity, an appreciation for craftsmanship, and the pleasure of discovering exceptional pieces.

Lighting is at the heart of our collection, with a particular focus on vintage lamps by Poul Henningsen, alongside designs by Verner Panton and Finnish designer Paavo Tynell. We are drawn to their thoughtful use of light, distinctive forms, and the character that original materials acquire over time.

Our passion also extends to furniture, including pieces designed by Finn Juhl and Hans J. Wegner, as well as the remarkable craftsmanship of cabinetmakers such as Niels Vodder.
For us, the beauty of these objects lies as much in their details and construction as in their appearance. Through Lampespecialisten, we share this passion with fellow collectors, design enthusiasts, and anyone looking for something special for their home. Our collection reflects our personal taste and years of collecting—pieces we appreciate ourselves and are proud to pass on.

Whether you are searching for a particular lamp or simply exploring, we look forward to helping you find a piece you will enjoy for years to come. Jacob Søby & Frederik Angel
